The project’s official site presents this Windsor, Ontario–Detroit, Michigan link as a major new crossing. An open bridge does not remove border rules or the need to check conditions.
A border crossing remains a separate process
A bridge opening does not remove controls. Check travel documents, applicable entry rules, travel direction, hours and permitted transport mode. Requirements may differ for business travel or goods.
