Bank of Canada: the eight 2027 rate-decision dates

The Bank of Canada’s 2027 schedule is trending because it tells people when to watch, not what the decision will be.

The central bank has published eight fixed dates: January 27, March 3, April 28, June 2, July 21, September 8, October 27 and December 8, 2027.

What a decision date really tells you

An announcement date does not predict a rise or cut in the policy rate. The decision depends on economic data and the Bank’s assessment. January, April, July and October announcements also include a Monetary Policy Report.

Why to note the dates

People renewing a loan, following a variable mortgage or preparing a budget can use them as information points. They do not replace comparing offers, reading a contract or getting advice tailored to your situation.

2027 schedule

  • January 27 and March 3.
  • April 28 and June 2.
  • July 21 and September 8.
  • October 27 and December 8.

A date is an information appointment, not investment advice.
