Check two separate limits
Payment and cash-withdrawal limits do not always work in the same way. Use your bank app or contact the bank to check the available amount, the calculation period and how a temporary change works.
Prepare without weakening security
- Check that your authentication phone number is current.
- Turn on transaction alerts.
- Keep official bank contact details, not a number supplied in an unexpected message.
- Plan a suitable backup payment option.
